1.
Support 03:25
When warmth subsides So does light My body doesn’t know how to support my mind There’s a disconnect Then pain collects You say you’re fine But I know You’re lying Why won’t You Look me in the eyes?
2.
Held Up 02:14
I don’t care what you prove You’re proud of who you’ve used I don’t care for Those selected truths You expect us To surrender all things And hold you up Beneath softening light Take off that mask Its okay To remember the past To cry or laugh Please deform your attacks
3.
Back Pains 02:06
I was not surprised to find You on your side or me on mine Things used to be alright But it has been some time I should have asked why We seemed to be depleting Cause when I think of that knife It feels like I’m still bleeding now I look at my life And I try to find some meaning But most of the time All this shit seems to be misleading
4.
I don’t want to hear it your way If that’s the type of shit you have to say Can’t you tell that those thoughts start with hate? Why are you so quick to blame? I can tell you have no shame I don’t want to see your face
5.
Comply 03:45
I will not comply With those words you combine into lies You hold it all inside And talk shit about Something comfortable in life You don’t wanna be surprised You won’t look through Your own eyes I have no advice Can’t think of anything Wise and that's fine
6.
I used to think There was no need To be Apart of Anything But death will come If not now eventually The nurtured bloom The giving moon Mean nothing without you I don’t have much to say Any part of the day Except for I feel your pain What could I explain That would ever calm or change Any part of your day? From a young age We’re taught to assimilate To leave it all up to fate In order to kept in place
7.
I don’t think you want my time So I will go and hide I try to make my thoughts known But deny myself growth I am afraid That I will corrupt Whatever I love And everything I touch I don’t know if I can help you But I’ll continue trying to We all build defenses in Ourselves You are not Alone my friend You have not Been forgotten COLE SINGING “GOODBYE PEGGY SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE” Cole says, “that’s gonna be the first line of my rap”

about

PORCELAIN TONGUE delivers an exploration in loss, grief, processing and acceptance on their sophomore release Goodbye Peggy, facing the fact that it takes a while before life begins to feel better after the loss of a loved one who is no longer with us, to rearrange spaces within ourselves to keep memories of them intact.

The album's first single, “Feel Your Pain” was written in congruence with the news of a dear friend’s passing. A unique coincidence happened when the lines of the song “death will come, if not now, eventually” were penned by vocalist/guitarist Max Voulelis, a few minutes later he received the news that someone who was very dear to them had passed on. The lyrics, “The nurtured bloom, the giving moon means nothing without you” was the first thought Max had after ending the call. "Feel Your Pain" is about the difficulty of acclimating to day-to-day life after the shock experienced through loss of a close friend.

GOODBYE PEGGY IS DEDICATED TO THE LIFE AND MEMORY OF COLE KRONBERG
